Christmas came christmas went. New year is coming, another year is coming.

Christmas at church was just the same. The food isnt that great without BBQ. the best one was wayyyy back in 2004. Damn that was the best. Had tons of friends in church around. We had lamb, corn and sweet potatoes. They say Christmas is all about giving. Well yeah, we were the receiving point. Magic tricks this year? I dont know. The Magicians were impressive and all. I dont know if the non christians got the message. Its kindda tricky that way ya know? New Christians get the wrong message and you have a hard time trying to correct them. Entertaining but I shall leave all other comments to myself. Its been two years and the church aint had no dramas. Dramas are the best way to get the message across. Perhaps its kindda classic and people are moving forward.

Tried and true is sometimes the best way to go.

My Music playlist has been in replay for the past few weeks. Need some fresh stuff. Sigh. Been listening to some old classics by Tyrese and Ginuwine. Old songs become new stuff after sometime you know what I mean?

Trying to go rogue

So I made a Sharuum EDH deck and it just failed badly. Thats what you get for trying to go rogue. You either solve the metagame or you end up getting squashed. Landed myself at the 7th place with winning two games and losing one. Will not give up trying to improve it. Damn I hate Mealtstrom pulse hahaha! That thing took out multiple Borderposts and multiple Glaze fiends I dont wanna talk about it hahaha.



On top of theat, Rudy played a Great Sable stag. Tidak terbalik terus my Esper deck? Hahaha! Two colours protection. Damn gay



Been sleeping early like an old man. Sigh. No mood to go out and everybody just seems busy. I like sleeping early. The thing about sleeping early is waking up early... Damn do I hate waking up early or what.
It makes the whole day seem longer and by 1-2 Im already feeling tired. Talk about getting enough rest. Missing ayam panggang and malta. Gotta go grab some soon. Sigh...

A compendium of mini events

Well after about two months I have decided to give some thoughts about the two latest Korean Boy bands.





Yup, MBLAQ and B2st. I shall start off with MBLAQ. With Rain Jung Ji Hoon as their mentor and producer, I can see a resemblance. Not all of them are good dancers. The rapper Thunder is ok though. Most of them are already in their mid twenties. With two hit singles under their belt "Oh yeah" and "Good Love". I have always thought that Rain would make a boy band but I didnt think it would be so soon.

As for B2st, I dont know how far they can go. Unlike MBLAQ, members of the group are kindda young. They are like a BIG BANG copy paste. They are not great. They are not different. My opinion on MBLAQ is that Rain kind of rushed this project. MBLAQ seem kindda not so groomed to be in front of the camera yet. Im no talent critic but I do wanna see good stuff. Rain juggling Ninja Assassin, the Six to Five clothing line and producing a boy band. Ain't he great or what?

Finally finished reading the manga Boys Over Flowers. The story line was kinda shaky and the conclusion didnt really go out with a bang. Sigh.

Damn beat after playing HON. Might hit the sack early today. What an unfruitful day.

Being efficient

After an online test and reading some symptoms of autism, I can come up with a conclusion I might have Autism 80% Dont know how accurate these symptoms are but it sure messed up my day. To think other people had social problems when it was partially my fault.

The all common deck on Sunday was fun. Imagine all common decks. Did pretty well with an Esper deck. Never thought the Sedraxis Alchemist and Parasitic Strix combo would be so meta. Ethersworn Sheildmage turned the tables so many times. Awesome card. Come in to play effects are always good.

Just picked up THE SOURCE magazine from Eatons with Young Money on the cover. Daym. The Young Money family certainly has grown. With those fellows on Lil Waynes shoulders, Im sure they will go far. They have some talent brewing in there like Mack Maine and Drake. Drake sure exploded with his hit Best I ever had.
Tried out Left for dead 2. The Chain saw was super fun. Rawr! Rampage! Kill kill kill! cut cut cut! slash slash slash! Even so, my head was still spinning while I was playing it. Pening geng....

For those of you who know me well, I have made some poems in the past that were just ok. So I decided to take it to another level. Writing lyrics. No beat and no melody so this thing is still pretty dead. Oh well, there is a first step for a first thing for everything.

Growth stunting

So finally I have the green light to study next year. Been so depressed about this for the past few years. Finally, some form of direction. Just a little late. Kindda sucks having parents who stunt your growth. Sometimes caring too much for your kids can be bad. They will never grow. I guess Im just no rebel. You care too much to the point you are controlling and being pushy. I guess there is just a fine line between being caring and controlling.

THERE CAN BE NO IMPROVEMENTS IF THERE ARE NO MISTAKES.

EXPERIENCE IS STILL THE BEST TEACHER EVEN IF IT IS A BAD MASTER.

Registration is a BITCH I tell you. I have to "sahkan" my IC, SPM results and English results. This shit has been a speck of dirt in my eye since ever. It just makes no sense its almost ridiculous. Its not like anybody can certify this and its not like it even matters. I have to find some big shot to sign or chop my documents. These good for nothing big shots are never in their offices. Always outstation, playing golf, drinking or fucking prostitutes. What good are you if you are always out station and never in the office? One huge office and only one fellow who can do the job yet he is never around. It makes no sense why the documents cant be certified during registration. Hell, they did that when I registered for form 6.

This is just one of the tiny things that stunts the growth of any country. This is just the tiny stuff. Lets not get into obtaining trading licences cause that one is stupid. Its not like this is hard and Im whining. Its just plain stupid. Its like asking a person to drink soup using chopsticks or a fork. Trying so hard to make a simple process become complicated and troublesome.

Vision 2020? Just forget it. I just cant wait to hear the excuses they have when 2020 comes and it doesnt work out. No way lah. Not with the balik kampung lifestyle. Nothing can ever be accomplished. Pissed off with this country. One lady I know was sad about a friend giving up her citizenship to migrate to another country. Dont be sad Auntie, rejoice. Your friend is no longer under the clutches of a dumbass country. She is not the first and she will not be the last. Namewee was right when he said that frequent power cuts gets in the way of any developing country. Cina was so pissed off he stormed the tenaga nasional.

As I type this, my whole room is eneveloped by smoke. Got me feeling like Im in some Ninja movie or some Spec Ops game. Damn those neighbours.

Anybody who knows me well enough is sure to know I love RnB. Hip Hop music in general. R Kelly and Trey Songz especially. Music by them are the best. Nothing by them can ever be called rubbish.

These two men have made some of the best music I have heard. Its kindda sad to see Trey saying stuff like how he used to be a huge fan of R Kelly and he is disappointed at how R Kelly no longer sets the trends but is now more of a follower of trends.
R Kelly himself hit back saying that personal comments should be done over the phone. Making a public statements like these are just to sell an album or start a beef.
I dont think they should be going at each others throats just to make an album sell. They should lock themselves up in the studio and throw away the key.

With both of them having new albums out, its great to have some fresh MUSAQ for my play list.
Nothing by RnB ever goes stale. You can always relate to it. Tyrese will be coming out with a new album soon. Cant wait to hear it.

HON was great last night. It was the only thing that really added flavour to my weekend. Its fun but it can be tiring when you are with the wrong team.

Two days down the drain.

The past two days just sucked like Edward Cullen I didn't know where to start.

Reunion on Saturday was crappy. When it comes to reunions, nobody is excited about seeing each other. Its like you have to bribe and extort people to come. It makes the atmosphere awkward and people end up being divided into a few groups when its about one whole family. I guess some people just don't give a damn about all this.
Organizing these kind of events is not easy. You have to call and sms so many people. Nobody appreciates it at all. Everybody just has something to do which is just more important and makes millions of dollars in minutes. I don't know who or what chose that place.

The venue was just awful. I mean, it was a nice place don't get me wrong, but a reunion is not like going to the club to chill, dance and listen to music. Its for people to catch up with each other. Ya know? Chit chat! Had the nerve to choose Growball restaurant. Thought that place was cool at first. The food was great the last time I went there. That place was dark like the bat cave and to make matters worse, we had veterans going up on stage to sing Chinese songs from the good old days. Who wants to listen to all that? To top it off, Malay people on stage screaming is even worst. I'm no racist but damn it, Malay songs are terrible!

NO SALT NO FIRE NO PASSION

If not for the mini karaoke session after that lunch, I would have been better off staying at home reading Shakespeare.

That night, spent the whole night making an all common deck for FNM.

Come Sunday, I bring my all common deck to find out its regular standard. Whole event is called off just because of the sudden change in plan. MALAS TERUS

Need to get away from this monotony.

For the past few months, Ive been reading some self help books. Actually they have been sitting on my shelf for sometime. Never bothered to pick them up. One of them is famous.

Theres a thing about these self help books. Some of them cant be used in Malaysia. God damn it. Its irritating to hear that people have had great results after reading the book. Perhaps only 10% of the knowledge is even applicable. 90% is what the chinese people call fei hua. Doesn't seem to work for me. Would be better off burning them. Can halau nyamuk lagi.

Lets hope HON tonight will cheer me up a little.

A Harmless Demeanor

Well, thats the second time now I have been stopped by the cops and they didn't ask for my IC and license. I could have ten kilos of drugs in my trunk and they would just let me pass. Okay thats kindda pushing it. Reminds me of one time my friend told me about how he used to sell drugs. He made tons of money then but he himself got addicted to the drugs. Well, as a drug trader, you have to sample the merchandise from the supplier before you market it out to make sure you are dealing with genuine merchandise. Anyway, I asked him

"Kau tidak takut ka kedapatan? "

"eh tidak lah"

"camanalah kalau kedapatan?"

"gantung sampai mati saja bah"

"adedeh, sanggup kau!"

It was a joke of course but his addiction to drugs was no joke. Shabu to be exact. He had to take alcohol to purge his addiction for the drug. After 2 months of Montoku style rehabilitation, he managed to kick the habit but now he is an alcoholic. After being away from HON for quite a while, I guess I didn't do too bad tonight. Its a class reunion tomorrow. Just like old times, I doubt a crowd will show. It will be the same old faces. Ada saja alasan hangat such as

Been coughing and wheezing often lately its not funny. Darn flu is everywhere. Gotta get some rest and sleep early more. Neighbor's eldest son is getting married. Now they be beating on the kompangs like there is no tomorrow. Got that Nasyid thing going on too. Haven't heard that for about 5 years now. That thing used to be hot among the malays back back in school.

Had to call off HON today. Even after taking the cough mixture for 4 hours, my whole body felt like a leaf blowing in the wind. Light headed and weak muscles. All I wanted to do was lie down. Felt like a tranquilized elephant. Suria KK opens today if I am not mistaken. Thinking if I should go check it out. How much different would it be compared to 1B?

AIDS awareness galore. People have to start blaming themselves for bringing AIDS to themselves or to others. Dont we all love the good old classic excuses?

Talking about how easy access to condoms can help prevent AIDS. Please. People gotta get smart. More condoms means higher chances or pre maritual sex. I dont want to go all pastor up in here but god damn it, if the vagina was on the stock market, nobody would want to invest in it!

Kids gotta understand that life isn't all about partying, alcohol and one night stands. There's more to it. Anyway, on the same page, there was an interesting one about why married men go out looking for prostitutes and mistresses. What the article said hit right on the bulls eye and if it doesn't ignite a spark in anybody, God save us. Anyway this is how it kindda went.

With women starting to venture out into the corporate world and holding high positions, they kind of grow apart from their spouses and family. Men feel threatened and turn to prostitutes and mistresses who treat them as kings. It does hold truth to it even if you think it doesn't make any sense or stupid. Women at home yell at their husbands and quarrel so often that the house is no longer a home.

Its a chain reaction. Parents do it and their kids follow. Simple as that. Nobody wants to be a housewife any more and we all wonder why the kids now are all stupid. Its not just the kids. Its parents. We having parents at 20 years old now and its not something rare. How are they supposed to bring up kids when they themselves messed up their lives?

Another article was about managing money. About how people spend lavishly without thinking. One statement the article had really made sense about how we should increase our earning power and not our spending power. Kids don't have to worry about money. Rich kids to be exact. They take money from their parents like there is no tomorrow. Blow cash on all sorts of things when they are in college. Living the lifestyle! In one month, they can blow over two thousand ringgit on all sorts of nonsense ranging from designer heels, designer bags to alcohol. Now here is when the real party starts. They graduate from college. Its all smiles and its time to get a job. WHAT! I am being paid only Rm900 a month! That's not enough!

No I am not talking about biscuits by Jacob or Hup Seng or Julies. This is more of like Jacob Black from the movie New Moon. Damn that guy. Ripped like shreds of paper. No homo. Rain and that fellow have given me a goal to get back into shape.



Looking so skinny like a chopstick in the mirror. So, I got back to weight lifting today. Damn, I am out of shape.
After 80 push ups and 2 sets of dumbbells, instead of feeling tough like that wolf from New Moon, I am huffing and puffing like the wolf in three little pigs. Throw in gasping if you wish. Never really had the best stamina. People jog but I jog for a few minute and walk the rest.

Back in the lab today trying to make an Esper deck all over again. Sigh, its sad to see Esper is nowhere in sight while other decks are taking all the glory. Gotta make my Sharuum the Hegemon deck hit faster and more meta. Gabriel Nassiff sure saw potential in that deck or else he wouldn't have played it at all. I just wished I knew how to make that deck faster without putting green in it. Aggro is all the fun but it aint no fun unless you made a deck yourself. All I really did to my Jund was throw out Mealstrom Pulse and use Sarkhan Vol and Collosal might instead. Can you say Boom Boom Pow?

Sharuum has almost never seen play in any standard event. She needs more exposure to prove Esper is still playable. Going for HON again tonight. Games are in my blood and always will.

Greed for power

After witnessing Naya take the first place at Worlds, it really made me want to give Naya a shot again. After all, it was my second deck after Grixis. Didnt do too well on Sunday. Scored the sixth place. Sad. Sideboards never came out. Made a BIG mistake when playing against Mike's control deck. Should have popped is Luminarch Ascension with my Pridemage. 2-1 Playing against Ben, my fallouts never came out and neither did my Stag. When Blood witch hit the table, it was over. Didn't have a solution for that huge flier. A pro white 4/4 Vampire with flying? Macam mana mahu urus tu benda? 2-1



If I was playing Jund, I could have gone Terminate or Bit Blast it to bits. Oh well, lesson well learned. Its back to the drawing board. If nothing good comes, its back to Jund then.





Met with Captain Rolando Barba. Glad to hear his high blood pressure has improved. He sounds more malaysian now. Haha! Its great talking to him. This is how our conversation went.

I tell you, now there are alot of scholarships being offered to join GGIFA. Just give me an sms if you are interested. I know the person giving out the scholarships. Belanja him two cans of Tiger, habis cerita. Rugi la oh, you are the best student but you cant fly just because of your eyes.

Hehehe, just try la oh. If you can pass the medical by flukeshot, you get to be a pilot for free! The guys miss you lah oh. Everyday eating Pau and drinking Malta.

We talked more about his life there. He is always great at conversations. Just wished he wouldn't drink so much. I miss those guys and how we would joke about marrying a rich woman to pay our pilot fees. Open up a newspaper and point at some YB's wife while saying "Kau tengok lah, kalau saya khawin dia, tidak paya fikir bank loan sudah"

Today and tomorrow feels the same as yesterday

Time flies so fast when you are having fun. Its time again to bid farewell to one of my best buds. Played 3 rounds of HON today. Was great. Except for the part where I am having a sore throat. Sigh. Sore throats are never welcomed. Gulping down my eight bottle of water.

Made a Naya aggro deck. Its pretty ok except for the fact that the win condition is Naya Charm when things are going Sim city. Its still really mid ranged and doesn't seem to pack the power that Jund has. This aggro deck almost has the power of Tarmogoyf in it. Knight of the Reliquary went up to a hulking 11/11. Amazing.

Life is back to mundane mode. Nothing to look forward to. 2009 is almost over. Cant wait to get over this year. It has been tiring, disappointing and just plain stupid at times.

Had a chat with the pastor about keeping the faith. He reminded me about how God works in ways we cannot see. No matter how much we think we are on the right path, if it doesn't work out, God normally has another plan in store for us. He talked about a factory in China. That factory was built to supplement income and also part of the mission work in China. 6 months down the road, business was bad. They almost shut down as they requested for financial aid. Even the pastor didn't have the faith that giving financial aid for the THIRD time would really make a difference. They needed money if they wanted to shut down the factory and even if they wanted to go on. There were debts mounting up to be paid. This year, it has started to pick up. Profit was rolling in and they could sustain the factory already.

From this short story I have learned that shit does happen and when it happens, we just have to hold on and persevere. These are just the tip of the iceberg called the Apocalypse.

Movie streak by a movie freak...

Astro Boy, 2012, New Moon and Ninja Assassin. Too much good stuff cramped in so little time. Astro Boy was kindda heart touching. The movie teaches about how a kind deed can go a long way. Well, the next thing is about appreciating kind deeds. Its gotta be that way. Ninja Assassin was awesome. Lots of blood here and there. Behind all the bloodshed, the movie highlights about how you can change a person just by touching his/her heart. Some people complained about Rain's acting skills. Come on, he is a ninja! He doesn't have to talk much! In fact speaking English was already a bonus! All he has to do is

and into the shadows. Just when you think movies were starting to suck just like the year 2009 itself, November rewards us with so many goodies and spoils us rotten once again.

Rise of the Eldrazi is coming out next year. Cant wait for it. Almost nothing in Zendikar makes any sense right now. World Wake is coming out soon though. It seems rather intriguing that Sorin Markov and Nissa Revane are allies. Who would have thought? Cant wait to find out more.

Leaving Esper for Jund

Wednesday is in the books, and I am pretty excited for what lays in store for the next day. Zoo, Coconut pudding and the Museum lie in store. Haven't been to these places in ages.

A NERD FEST BREWS AS WE SPEAK

I am impressed by how Malaysia managed to secure the third spot at the Magic Worlds tournement. Congrats to Terry Soh. Playing a Naya Zoo deck? Impressive. Gotta try make one too. Naya has always been my first to play aggro. Simple stuff. Swing for the win. No brainer.
Its nice to see cards like Wild Nacatl and Wooly Thoctar hitting the tables again. Naya is back and badder than ever. Yet Esper is still no where to be seen ever since Pro Tour Honolulu. Sad. I miss playing Esper. It was fun back in the day, now its kindda tricky to play. It can only handle so many removals. Got tired of my sissy Esper deck and decided that savage Jund was the way to go. It is way more meta and now I hav less headaches during FNM. More points! Woohoo~~



Grixis is back too. Now with Crypt of Agadeem, you have the mana to unearth your minions. Talk about a Kederekt Leviathan clearing the board? SWING!


Bant seems to be going back to old school with Rhox War Monk and friends. Jenara and Rafiq should join the crowd soon enough so lets just wait and see. Aggro is the best for the meta game now. Waiting to see what lies in wait for Worldwake. Perhaps we shall ge to see control decks shine once again. With Cryptic Command lacking in the arsenal since Lorwyn and Shadowmoor phased out, control just isnt that good.

Aint this year full of disappointments. I don't speak for myself but everybody who got let down this year. Cant wait for a new year. 2009 sucks big time. Things rarely go as expected and often makes you wish you could turn back time. Businesses dont go as planned, relationships dont go as hoped and expected, future plans crushed to dust in mere seconds.

TIME IS ALL THAT STALLS THE INEVITABLE

Getting better at snooker. Unlike Pool, its table is larger and the holes are smaller. Gotta get my game on. My cue has been collecting cobwebs and dust. Christmas is coming. Bragging about all these festivals we have? They seem to get quiet as years go by. I remember when christmas was the bomb. Carolling, lamb, food, more lamb, presents and did I mention lamb? Its like all of that sort of diminished as we grew older. Everybody looked forward to it. Now its like, "Its christmas? Oh..."

I read a text worth debating. It was about how the dogmas of the quiet past are no longer edequate and efficient for the stormy present. People blame schools. People blame the economy. People blame GOD. People blame parents. I guess nobody bothers to change themselves first eh? I guess sometimes people forget about people around them when they are striving to feed their family.

Beer does not taste nice. In fact, I shall name it the stupid drink. If you don't agree with me, its up to you as Im no doctor. Its a joke when I hear people saying they on a diet yet they chug down a can of beer.

Got invited for draft tonight but I had to turn down the invitation. Kind of lost the fire to draft. Saving moolah is a must.

Fat wallets make me happy. Need a direction. Feeling lost in the fog. Need some sort of compass to this mess called life. Feeling the need for a retirement plan. Need to retire by 30 so I can enjoy life. Oh yeah.

I have a dislike for people who come to me for advice yet when I give advice, it ends up becoming an argument. Come to me asking a yes or no question to random personal issues and when I give my point of view, they end up using it on me to point out my weakness. Are the young of this generation having too much free time on their hands?
English has to come up with an adjective for these kind of people.

Magic and crabs

Today was a blast. Right after church, it was Magic the gathering standard FNM. Sweet. Just another day to prove that Jund is still the best mid range deck out there. Woohoo. Second place was mine for the taking. Only losing to Mono red in the finals. Sad but no shame. A fourth turn Seige gang? Apa macam mahu handle tu benda geng?

A short round of HON was just sweet. HON is just like dota. You smile when you win, you fume when you lose.
Took the time to view 2012 and its just as what I expected. Minus the drama. I was fascinated by the arks. They are huge.... Wish I could ride one. Noahs ark 2.0

Ketam ketam till 2 in the morning. Lost 15 bucks. Sad case. Its all about luck. No skill involved.

Feeling Green and Violent...

No I am not turning into the Incredible Hulk but more about the deck making number 1 at Star City games Nashville. What an awesome deck this Eldrazi Green is. A mono green deck With stunning accelerators such as Llanowar Elves and Noble Heirarch, an Ant Queen on the third turn is possible. Bringing in 1/1 ant tokens that can be pumped to 2/2 by Oran Reif.

TOKEN GENERATORS ARE ALWAYS SWEET.

Master of the wild hunt joins the party and brings in 2/2 wolves every turn. Once Eldrazi Monument hits the table, its game over. +1/+1, flying and indestructible?

Only Naya charm and Safe Passage can buy you time. Fog them ants I tell you! Fog them! Nissa Revane and Garruk bringing in more tokens is just insane. Even though other Jund decks made the top eight, I am guessing the Jund decks paid dearly for not packing Volcanic Fallout in their arsenal.

Now here comes Worlds 2009. As predicted, Jund takes the lead as the most played deck followed by Red White Aggro. An impressive alternate version of Jund played by Luis Scott-Vargas. Taking out Putrid Leeches and Garruk then replacing them with Master of the wild hunt and two Borderland Rangers. As for the Tomoharu Saito, he took out the leeches too and played Seige Gang Commander and Rampant growth. Its a nice way to knock out clunky mana starts when you play Jund.

The most intresting deck in my opinion has got to be The Magical Christmas deck by Conley Woods. Period. He made the turn 4 Violent Ultimatum possible! That is just nuts. By turn four, I am most likely back down to 1 land when it hits. Thats just a reset button that reeks of evil. A play set of Cruel Ultimatum? Only mad people or newbies would think of playing 4 Cruel Ultimatums in their deck! Conley Woods did it. Going Rogue is really the way to go.

Madness? No! This is Sparta!

Checked out the Fourth Kind the other day. That movie is kindda underrated. Guess it kindda hit the cinemas at the wrong time and clashed with the overhyped giant 2012. Dont always believe the hype I tell you. Other than making me jump in my seat a couple of times, it wasnt scary. Heck, you dont even get to see a single alien in the movie. Its just when all the facts came together, it sort of made me ponder.
